Overview of Qureshi's work: partner ecosystem architecture, hyperscaler and cybersecurity go-to-market, the partner ecosystem he operates across, and Americans 4 Equality

Early career

Qureshi began his career in enterprise technology at Bank of America, where he served as Vice President, Data Centers and Trading Operations from 2001 to 2006, working on infrastructure and systems for financial services.[2]

Technology career

Microsoft, VMware and Avaya

Qureshi joined Microsoft in 2006 as Managing Director, Enterprise Sales, a role he held until 2012, leading enterprise sales for data centre, cloud and application solutions across North America and Europe. He built a business exceeding $100 million in annual recurring revenue, closed more than 200 cloud customer wins, and was named Manager of the Year.[2]

He moved to VMware in 2012 as Regional Sales Director, Enterprise and Cloud, during the period in which server virtualisation was being adopted widely across enterprise data centres.[2]

He returned to Microsoft in 2013 as Director, Partner Ecosystems and Global Alliances, a role he held until 2017, building alliance programmes across global systems integrators, telecommunications providers, managed service providers and resellers. He managed an $11.7 million profit-and-loss line and a team of 21 alliance professionals across 24 countries, generating more than $100 million in partner-sourced annual recurring revenue, and was recognised in the Microsoft Gold Club in 2014.[2]

From 2017 to 2021 he served as General Manager, Cloud Sales and Partnerships at Avaya, focused on cloud and artificial intelligence within the company's cloud solutions business, leading a 56-person organisation and a portfolio exceeding $156 million in annual recurring revenue.[2]

Noventiq

In 2021 Softline, later renamed Noventiq, appointed Qureshi Vice President of Global Strategic Partnerships and Alliances, a role he held until 2024.[4] His remit centred on the Microsoft partnership and on bringing Microsoft cloud and cybersecurity products into the company's operating regions.[4]

At Noventiq he led a global partner organisation of 44 alliance professionals and a business representing more than $1.5 billion in partner-influenced annual recurring revenue across 38 countries, growing 30 per cent year over year. He directed a $17 million three-year Microsoft alliance investment that returned tenfold within 18 months, secured $5 million in AWS strategic collaboration funding, and led go-to-market integration across eight acquisitions totalling more than $500 million in deal value.[2][1]

Triple Partner of the Year

In the same year, partner organisations operating under strategies Qureshi designed and led were named Partner of the Year by all three major hyperscalers — a combination rarely achieved across Microsoft, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud simultaneously. Noventiq was named Microsoft Country Partner of the Year in seven countries for 2024[5] and was recognised by Amazon Web Services.[6] A separate client engagement through his advisory practice earned the Google Cloud recognition. The awards were conferred on the organisations; Qureshi's role was as the architect of the partner strategies behind them.[7]

Cybersecurity and advisory work

Qureshi holds a senior partnerships role at Kovrr, which works in cyber risk quantification — translating security posture into financial exposure that boards, insurers and finance functions can act on.[8] He advises InfoSec Global on cryptographic agility and post-quantum readiness, and has written on non-human identity security and the credentialing of autonomous AI agents.[1]

Cross-functional partner workshop on co-sell and co-marketing

Through Optimus, the advisory practice he founded in 2016, he works on hyperscaler partnerships, channel strategy, cybersecurity go-to-market and post-acquisition integration, including fractional chief partner officer engagements. He has served as a trusted advisor to technology companies across cloud, cybersecurity and managed services.[9][7]

As of June 2026, the organisation reports having served more than 1,139 people, with an 88 per cent completion rate and a 60 per cent job placement rate. It has placed more than 40 interns and holds more than 15 partnerships.[1]

In the federal government funding package, Americans 4 Equality received a $2.23 million appropriation for the MLK-Gandhi Empowerment Initiative, secured through Representative Adam Smith.[11] Fifty-five per cent of participants are women, and the organisation has been recognised by Senator Patty Murray for advancing equitable workforce development.[1]
